Červený Vrch Axis

New "Červeňák"
Our vision is to remove barriers and create a place where people can move safely, meet one another, and enjoy spending time outdoors.
The proposal introduces two public squares enriched with abundant greenery and active ground floors accommodating shops, medical practices, a café, a restaurant, and a community hall. The upper square, connected to Evropská Street, is envisioned as the livelier of the two, with a greater concentration of retail and commercial activity. The lower square, linked to Africká Street, offers a quieter atmosphere designed primarily for local residents and community events.
The new buildings are designed with respect for their surroundings and aim to complement the existing urban fabric in a sensitive and harmonious way. Visual connections between the buildings and views toward the green hillsides beyond are considered a defining quality of the site, and the design carefully preserves and enhances these relationships.
The residential buildings provide a wide range of apartment sizes, complemented by balconies and generous terraces that extend living spaces outdoors. The landscape design is guided by the ambition to create an environment that offers more opportunities for recreation and everyday outdoor life, while remaining resilient to the impacts of climate change.
At the same time, the public realm is designed to be welcoming and intuitive for children, who are expected to be active users of the area. The result is a vibrant, green, and inclusive neighborhood that supports community life, environmental resilience, and a high quality of living.
